Darkling - here and here started in on Sweetie again today. Another boy waited until Sweetie left the room, turned to Darkling and said "You're mean. You are not a nice person."
I hope that resonates in Darkling's heartless soul for a very long time. But I doubt it.

Oh, man. I'm going to put a post up, probably on Friday, about middle school girls. My heart is being ripped out by my nearly-13-year-old daughter's trials on the friend front, and I'm going to need some support and advice. Sheesh.

I remember those days with my daughter. Boys are so much easier in that respect--give them a ball and they are at peace with the world.
I'm proud of your kid who said that. More people should stand up to bullies.
