Please do see Schindler's List. The novel is a poor, poor representation of the film; trust me on this.
Here's the thing, though; I've only seen Schindler once all the way through. I've seen certain scenes a zillion times, but I could only manage one credit-to-credit viewing... so far. It's a tough one, but really, do see it.
