I keep trying to come up with the gimmick - the THING that will be the aha, that will make the difference in students learning.
I haven't found it.
I find all kinds of things that should work, and don't. Creating a workbook, interactive notebooks, notes, a website. Detailed teaching.
These are things that would have made me happy. They don't do a thing for the kids.

I like that you want to make a difference...and reach the kids! I know it is hard. But you are hanging in there, and I think you must make more of a difference than you know!
Thank you...and keep on trying!
I too am a teacher and as the year comes to a close, it seems like the stress is piling up. But don't despair. Just take one day at a time and do what you can. It might feel like society is pointing fingers at you for things beyond your control, but screw society. If they think they can do a better job, then let them try. Oh... and I wrote a poem about teaching that might be inspirational to you? I wrote it on a really bad day I had... http://writingsbycharleen.blogspot.com/2013/04/teacher.html
That sounds beyond frustrating! As does your previous post. I hope next year is better for you.
