NYC Public School Parent wrote a scathing indictment of the coming common core Language Arts requirement. In it, the writer discusses the credentials of the authors behind CC Language Arts - they are not teachers, have never been teachers, and want more and more of the curriculum to be none fiction (catalogs, menus and other "real life" things. Wow - I would have hated it.
