The world is one big town.
Went home to visit the family. They live in the largest city in the state. We went to dinner - a man my brother had worked with came to the table - he was an ex=student of my mother's.
We went out to lunch. The waiter had been my parents' Orkin man. Twenty years ago - and recognized mom.
We went out to breakfast. The waitress was meeting her best friend afterwards and mentioned she (the best friend) went to the same college as my son - who knew the girl. Of course.
Somehow it gives continuity.

It's what I like about living here, but without the citification. Small village in a small state. Yessuh.
Hava a great New Year!
Yes, it does. Small world, we're always saying.
You should travel to the Caribbean and meet an ex-collegue who was on a different ship just in the same port. The world gets smalled all of the time.
I believe that you experienced first hand the six degrees of separation....
Happy New Year
I always think it's cool when things like that happen. It is indeed a small world.
I agree, our gigantic world sometimes becomes like a close knit continuation of each other. It's a wonderful really it is!
Wow. It's crazy how connected everything and everyone is, isn't it? I always forget that we don't live within a tiny bubble, consisting of our own little universe while everyone else is outside unaware of what happens in our universe. Very cool. Happy New Year, I hope it brings you everything bright and positive you need and desire in your life. Happy 6WS as well! :-)
