Indiana is putting the brakes on Common Core until they can do some cost analysis and effectiveness analysis. As ineffective as NCLB has been, you would have thought that people would have been more cautious the next time.
Oh, no; we can't have caution. If we didn't run willy-nilly from one half-baked, ill-considered strategem to the next, the public would accuse us of stagnation.
Too bad New York can not follow this lead...great for the legislators in Indiana for finally seeing the light...
.but our Governor, the fascist Cuomo wants to make the state into a #1 champion for learning standards in education...well he will definitely put NY on the map, but not in the way he originally had in mind...
